Six weeks ago it began a new history, a new opportunity, a new
life, surrounded with new things, new friends, and new places to know.
My new life started in National Chengchi University located in Taipei,
with a lot of students of many parts of the world. One of the most
important things: Food. To be honest, before to come here, I felt afraid
about it. I watched many documental of Taiwan and it’s curious to know
how the Taiwanese prepare the food. To compare with my country, El
Salvador, everything is different hear, including culture, language,
people, and too many things.
Nevertheless, I surprised for the variety of
meals in Taiwan, “Tang Bao 湯包” is one of my favorites dishes, that is
like steamed dumplings filled with minced meat, it's great, I like to
eat it at lunch, there's a lot of restaurants near to NCCU, and I can
choose to many options, the cost per meal is cheap, taste is good,
everything is clean and tidy.
I know that I have to keep me in good shape, well, health concern.
I have to take more vegetables, fruits, milk, and water for the
necessary vitamins. Exercise, of course, I started to go to the gym.
Here in NCCU, one week ago, I hope I always do. I start to walk as much
as I can, because I love to walk and eat!!!
During my life I’ve had the opportunity to try different kinds of
food, like Mexican food, Central American food, Arabic Food, etc. But to
be honest the Taiwanese food has been one of the best that I tried,
because is very natural, and is good for my health especially.
Actually I don't know how I express my thanks to the ICDF very
much. Because of this very opportunity to be here this time, I found
people hear are generous, honestly, sincere, friendly. All of them are
nice and I appreciate everything what they done for me and my partners.
