Hi my name is Mario Alberto Sanchez Hernandez and I am from Costa
Rica. I want to take this opportunity to tell you about my experience
with the Taiwanese food in this last year.
Initially I had some difficulty to adapt to Taiwanese food. I
tasted this culture's different typical food only little by little. I
discovered some delicious food and others not very delicious, but
nevertheless I have had some very similar experiences in my own country.
I have tried the food in the night markets and
at different Taiwanese restaurants. I have tried all manner of food,
like frogs, snakes, shrimp and other kinds of foods from different
countries.
But when I believed that I had become totally adapted to the type of
food in Taiwan, God gives me a very difficult test. Three months ago I
had to have surgery due to problems with my appendix.
I was in the hospital for three days with special care and much
better price than in my country. Being so far away from my family, the
support from God and my close friends really helped me to surpass this
hard part of my life.
Finally my life reverted back to his normal course and I continued
tasting the same food. Generally, I can say that my experience in Taiwan
has been unique and special; I hope that all of you may enjoy this
experience and try the different kinds of food in Taiwan like me. I just
hope that you not get to visit the hospital like me.
